We have one of our serious décor crushes and long time collaborator on the blog this week, and we couldn’t be more excited about it! This week on Décor Talk, we’re chatting with Zenia of @styleitprettyhome about her décor style, tips, and inspiration.
Tell us a bit about yourself?
It all begins with an idea and a crazy desire to make it happen! Hi! My name is Zenia a home decor and DIY enthusiast and the face behind the Instagram page @styleitprettyhome. A page dedicated to sharing the joy and struggles behind the process of making a house a home. Love power tools, learning new things and completely transforming spaces!
How would you describe your décor style?
My style is a mix of traditional, modern, with a dash of eclectic
affordable thrifted finds, target treasures, unique finds, and investment pieces (like my couch/ tables)
Where does your décor inspo come from?
It comes from everywhere! Sometimes from the most unexpected places. I feel like my brain is constantly searching for things to be inspired by Sometimes it's a paint color, other times it could be a tree branch or pattern- I find inspiration everywhere- and on Pinterest!
What are your home décor essentials?
Throws, pillows, rugs and lighting! Let’s add all the coziness!!
Any décor tips you can share for someone wanting to refresh their space?
Refreshing a space doesn't have to be expensive! Introduce new pillows, and throws, add a new rug and some new art in colors for the season or colors you’ve always wanted to try but haven’t repeat these colors throughout your space so it feels cohesive.
Describe your perfect Saturday?
Doing projects! I love what I do! And transforming our home one project at a time.
Any dream home upgrades or renos?
Yes! Moving the laundry from the unfinished basement to the first floor and converting the attic into a finished space (which would require completely restructuring the shape of our roof… but a girl can dream).
